ROCK

TORBEN BROWN debuts new music, with a new band. The sound is organ driven, roots based groove, dark and gritty powered by a rhythm section beast of Vancouver regulars. The band is explosive and exciting, underpinning big choruses, evocative verses and reckless solos with super tight, danceable grooves. The songs are lyrical, dynamic, and they've got bite.

COUNTRY

Torben has extensive experience playing western music styles and is known for lightning fast chicken pickin’ and soaring pedal-steel style twang. His main vehicle for is THE NEW SHACKELTONS, Vancouver’s busiest retro country band, playing Tonk, blues, rockabilly and western swing, with a little 2nd line for fun.

JAZZ

Torben studied jazz guitar at the University of Guelph and plays with a deep, rich, and just-gritty-enough tone. See him around town backing up BEAUTY SHOP DOLLS, vintage vocal trio.
